Wildlife Forever and Yamaha Rightwaters Expand National Partnership on Invasive Species

White Bear Lake, MN – Wildlife Forever announces an expansion of its partnership with Yamaha Rightwaters.  The renewed collaboration will bring new invasive species awareness tools to a broader audience of boaters and anglers across the country.

“We’re excited Yamaha Rightwaters shares our vision of bringing together a broad coalition of perspectives when it comes to invasive species prevention & management,” said Zach Burnside, Invasive Species Program Manager at Wildlife Forever.

“Wildlife Forever is a national leader in invasive species prevention, one of the four key pillars of the Yamaha Rightwaters mission,” said Joshua Grier, Sustainability Program Manager, Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit. “This partnership brings together science and innovative community outreach to raise awareness and educate the public about the potential damage invasive species can cause as well as methods of prevention.”

The partnership is built upon three areas of focus.

  1. Invasive Species Congressional Map – With integrated data from the U.S. Geological Survey, this new web-based application will become a powerful resource to be shared throughout industries and organizations for communications, public outreach, and advocacy to enhance funding, regulations, and awareness of invasive species.
  1. Clean Drain Dry Pro Ambassador Program – Engaging professional anglers and tournament operators with Clean Drain Dry communications and outreach resources will aid in greater public awareness and adoption of best conservation practices.
  1. Citizen Carp Control – Enhanced public awareness and education on invasive carps will support policy, greater state and federal transparency, and commercial harvest.  CitizenCarpControl.org
