White Bear Lake, MN – Wildlife Forever is proud to announce a renewed national partnership with the USDA Forest Service focused on the award-winning Art of Conservation programs. Through the international Fish and Songbird Art programs, participating youth learn about nature and critical conservation needs for habitat and species recovery. The partnership will focus on developing new environmental stewards using conservation arts to empower youth to participate in outdoor activities such as fishing and birding.
“I am grateful the U.S. Forest Service values youth and invests for their future. Our forests and grasslands are the heart and soul of America’s natural resources. Youth seldom realized their connection to the land and necessities of everyday life. Using art as the national language of conservation, this partnership builds awareness, appreciation, and the “I Can” spirit of the outdoors,” said Pat Conzemius, President & CEO of Wildlife Forever.
In addition to implementing the Art of Conservation Fish Art program, this year’s renewed partnership will also focus on growing the Songbird Art program launched in 2019. Through Forest Service Regional Office support, both programs will be promoted nationwide as free community youth programs.
“The Forest Service proudly supports The Art of Conservation programs and deeply values art as a unifier of people and culture. We’re proud to join Wildlife Forever and our joint commitment to building stewardship in our next generation”, said Kimberly Conley, Lead U.S. Forest Service Fisheries Program.
