WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN – Wildlife Forever is proud to recognize the USDA Forest Service for their renewed and growing support of the State-Fish Art Contest. By teaching youth the Art of Conservation, the national partnership reaches thousands of youth each year and is used by schools as a gateway activity and program to encourage outdoor recreation.

“State-Fish Art is an important youth recruitment program that allows students to be creative and explore all the possibilities of art and conservation. It builds a foundation for stewardship just as the National Forests are the cornerstone to our nation’s freshwater resources,” said Dan Shively, USDA Forest Service’s National Fisheries Program Leader.

“I’m extremely grateful the Forest Service has committed to supporting the State-Fish Art program and leverages it to teach the next generation about fish and fishing, natural resources and conservation,” said Pat Conzemius, President and CEO of Wildlife Forever.

The award-winning Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art® Contest, presented by Bass Pro Shops, connects children, art and aquatic conservation together! To enter, young artists create an original illustration of any official state-fish and written words detailing its behavior, habitat, and efforts to conserve it. Entries are due postmarked by March 31st each year.  For details on contest rules, entry forms and past winners, visit www.statefishart.org.
